Weekend Upsets with WrestleStat | Week 10 2020

We have a MASSIVE list of upsets this week with the major contributing event being, obviously, the Southern Scuffle.

The headliner, in my opinion, is someone that didn’t even place in the top 3 at their weight, but pulled off 2 of the 3 biggest upsets of the weekend, Penn State’s 197 pounder, Michael Beard. He defeated both #3 Dakota Geer of OSU, and #6 Nick Reenan of NC State.

In the 133 pound weight class we saw Rutgers true-freshman Sammy Alvarez knock off #7 Micky Phillippi. Look for him to climb the rankings this week with a high quality win.
