Our big news in rankings this week is the fact that Matthew Kolodzik has come out of his Olympic/Gray shirt status and is into the ranks at 149. He debuts at #3, behind #1 O’Connor, and #2 Sasso. He’s actually wrestled in two tournaments, and two duals this season and already has 10 matches on his resume, so not far off the 15-match minimum required to receive an RPI ranking.
We are nearing the end of the regular season, which means the RPI rankings are getting more and more interesting. Of all ten weights, there’s an average of only 1 or 2, per weight, for wrestlers in the top 15 that still down have their 15-match minimum requirement met.
